What is Forward Allocation?

• Forward Allocation is the sale and securing of allocation to be provided at a future date(s) at an agreed price.

• Irrigators commit to a price of allocation and can choose delivery of this allocation in an agreed number of parcels throughout an irrigation season.

• Forward Allocation enables the irrigator to spread their cashflow over the irrigation season and may be for a single season or multiple years.

• A feature of Forward Allocation is that it gives the irrigator the security of receiving ‘actual water’ at their chosen delivery dates throughout the season.

What are the benefits for you as a buyer?

• Guaranteed volume supplied at a fixed price for the next irrigation season.

• Manage your risk by reducing exposure to the volatile temporary market prices.

• Payment can be made in full or by up to 4 instalments to assist with cashflow.

• Water delivered as agreed on payment.

• Secured by an agreement with Water Partners.

• Water Transfer fees are payable for each lodgement.
