Water Partners Farmer Forum a great success

Water Partners held its first Farmer Forum in its Kyabram offices on 6 March, providing an opportunity for local farmers to catch up over dinner and learn more about water trading options.

We were delighted to have guest speakers Cassandra and Andrew Kath, who milk 500 cows at Nanneella and use a combination of lease water and forward allocation to guarantee water availability and mitigate risk of reduced seasonal allocation.

The Kaths were very open in sharing information about their operation and how they worked with Water Partners to finalise their combination package.

Farmers in the audience then shared what options they use or what they are considering, and gathered more information from the Water Partners team on how different options could best work for them.
